$2,600.00

“Rocky Neck Harbor”, acrylics on canvas, 24″ x 30″, Original Painting, (only one available), Unframed (but canvas wraps around a thick 1.5″ stretcher, scene continues around)

Rocky Neck Harbor is an original acrylic painting by Debra Bretton Robinson inspired by Gloucester’s historic harbor. Expressive brushwork and coastal tones capture the atmosphere of boats, water, and shoreline life in a contemporary New England seascape.

I painted this scene in Rocky Neck in Gloucester, MA en plein air with my husband’s Aunt Marion this summer. She is a watercolorist so it’s great to see the contrast in our styles. We sat on the grass in front of the North Shore Arts Association one morning and belted out some new seascapes. It was very joyful.

Rocky Neck Harbor is an original acrylic painting by Debra Bretton Robinson inspired by the historic artist colony and working waterfront of Rocky Neck in Gloucester, Massachusetts. This coastal scene captures the harbor’s unique blend of boats, water, and shoreline atmosphere that has long drawn artists to this iconic New England location.

Expressive brushwork and layered coastal tones evoke shifting light on the water, weathered textures of the harbor, and the quiet rhythm of life along the docks. The painting balances realism with a contemporary painterly style, focusing on mood and atmosphere rather than strict detail.

This original seascape is ideal for collectors who love Gloucester art, New England harbors, and coastal landscape paintings. Rocky Neck Harbor brings maritime history, coastal energy, and artistic heritage into any interior space.
