I had just completed the drawing for this painting for an online YouTube video that my students could do over Spring Vacation week. I had been painting the final touches on a different piece but this one, a still life with lemons kept nagging at me to be born. I liked the drawing and I just happened to have a canvas ready and it came together in 2 days! Sometimes these paintings are very insistent and demand to be created.  They are like characters in a book for me (if I was a writer); people to be reckoned with. The title is a play on words from my daughter’s favorite store, but also because of our naughty cat named Louis.
