This town, Rockport, is a little further up from Gloucester, MA. The beach parking is tough so you really have to watch the clock if you aren’t in town for a long stay. That equates to a very quick painting. But luckily, it gave me no trouble and was finished briskly . I love how the color opposites are working together.
Front Beach is an original acrylic painting by Debra Bretton Robinson inspired by the coastal beauty of Front Beach in Gloucester, Massachusetts. This New England seascape captures the relaxed shoreline atmosphere, where sand, surf, and open ocean light come together in a calm, timeless coastal view.
Expressive brushwork and layered tones evoke the movement of water and the softness of coastal air, blending realistic inspiration with a contemporary painterly style. The composition emphasizes mood and atmosphere, reflecting the natural rhythm and quiet energy of the shoreline.
This original coastal artwork is ideal for collectors who love Gloucester beaches, New England seascapes, and ocean-inspired paintings. Front Beach brings a sense of openness, light, and coastal serenity into any interior space, from beach homes to modern coastal décor.
