This is a summer seascape as seen from the ocean. The sky is a vivid yellow, the sand orange. In the foreground is a blue ocean with wavy lines depicting water. Above the rocks on the beach and a thin, green line of grass is a string of modest cottages glowing in the sun with cool blue shadows. It has a feeling of taking on the heat of an August day at the beach.

Description

I painted this from the boat in Hampton Harbor, NH while my husband fished during the heat of the summer. It was much cooler though, on the boat! This painting is the epitome of summer to me.
