I think I always find the best views by looking out other peoples windows-or any windows. It’s the first thing I do when I go somewhere: look out the windows. Then if I find a good view, of course I have to paint it. This one was from a hotel in midtown. Layers upon layers of buildings, so thick you can’t even see the sky. Not my usual repertoire, but the lights and the architecture lured me in.
